Pembrokeshire is a very important UK energy hub. This winter the two LNG terminals in Milford Haven provided over ten per cent of the UK’s gas supply. Over 300,000 barrels per day of oil are refined in Pembrokeshire.
Stephen has a particular interest in energy issues. He is a strong advocate for greater discussion of the UK’s future energy security. He is also always keen to learn about new, innovative ideas to develop renewable energy resources.
Stephen is keen to see the future of Milford Haven as a leading energy port, develop emerging opportunities for the energy sector in West Wales and identify the role that new renewable technologies can play in securing the UK’s future energy needs. Stephen holds regular meetings with representatives of all the energy sites in the area.
To secure the future security of UK’s energy supplies, Stephen is keen to see the increasing use of renewable technology. He supports the aim of creating the world's first low carbon economy.
